Canyon Heights Academy celebrated the Feast of All Saints on Wednesday, November 1 on campus at CHA. Parents, grandparents, faculty staff and guests were treated to a student parade of saints, a beautiful Mass and inspiring class presentations.
This year’s celebration returned to CHA campus with two Mass locations (cafeteria and chapel) prior to the saint parade and class presentations. Each class prepares its own presentation as part of the feast day celebration and development of public speaking skills to form our students into confident leaders. The audience enjoyed the recitation of the “Anyway” speech by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, poetry, skits and songs.
After the presentations, everyone enjoyed a lovely reception provided by the Parents’ Association, classroom visits and gifts for the grandparents from the students.
The celebration of All Saints Day combined with Grandparents Day has been a tradition for the school since it opened. Head of School Dr. Margaret Richardson participates each year, donning a fabulous costume of St. Joan of Arc. St. Joan of Arc symbolizes a strong commitment both to leadership and to faith.
All Holy Men and Women, pray for us!
