Kindergarten

Kindergarten is the transition year between our preschool and lower school. Kindergarten uses many of the same Montessori materials first discovered in preschool in more advanced ways. It is also the beginning of traditional teacher-led instruction, where students study with various hands-on materials and learning methods.

A Cohesive, Catholic Curriculum

Our kindergarten curriculum is well-integrated. When students learn about the continents, they also learn about the different composers, music, dance, zoology, food, clothing, and history of particular regions. Even birthday celebrations include history, geography, and astronomy lessons!

Key kindergarten subjects include reading, writing, listening and speaking, math, social studies, science, and religion. Students also attend enrichment classes in art, music, Spanish, and physical education.

What Our Families Are Saying
“CHA has a wonderful and diverse community and the smaller class sizes and focus on integral formation help the school stand out from the rest. 2 of our children have graduated from CHA and one child is currently enrolled. Both of our graduates have excelled in high school and college thanks to CHA.”
