Student Life
A Vibrant Life Beyond the Classroom
At Canyon Heights, your child can build friendships, discover their passions and nurture their God-given talents through sports, fine arts, clubs, and other special events. These opportunities foster character growth, leadership, and teamwork — extending learning far beyond the classroom.
Our campus is teeming with after-school activities designed to help students explore their humanity, practice discipline, and develop compassion in a Christ-centered environment.
Athletics

Fine Arts
Through art, music, and language studies, Canyon Heights students discover new passions, build cultural sensitivity, and further their appreciation of beauty and truth.

Student Leadership & Service
Students who participate in our Student Leadership Council (SLC), Service Campaign Team, Media Team or Mentoring Team have more opportunities to discover Christ, be more like Him and use their God-given strengths to spread His love within our community and beyond.
We believe that public speaking is central to leadership formation. A student starting preschool at Canyon Heights will have over 60 opportunities to speak in front of audiences before graduating eighth grade.
Extracurricular Activities
From Spanish to ceramics, debate, introductory coding, and beyond, Canyon Heights offers a variety of after-school activities that inspire students to explore current interests or develop new ones.
- Spanish with Mrs. Alvarez (PK/K)
- Mixed media art with Mrs. Delk (K-3)
- Ceramics with Mrs. Delk (4-8)
- Rose Debate Institute (5-8)
- Coder School (3-8)

Technology for tomorrow's leaders
The study of technology helps Canyon Heights students master computer skills, conduct research, develop the art of effective communication, and understand the effect technology has on society. As a private school in Silicon Valley, technology is integrated into students’ learning experiences as a resource for practicing skills and creating projects to demonstrate what they have learned.
All first- through eighth-grade students are provided with technology devices to use responsibly in the classroom. First- through fourth-grade classrooms have one iPad per four students. Fifth-grade students each have their own iPad. Middle school students are provided with a Google Chromebook.
