Sacramental Preparation

Our school is not associated with a parish, but Canyon Heights assists parishes with preparation for the sacraments of Holy Communion, Reconciliation and Confirmation.

First sacraments (Baptism, Holy Communion and Reconciliation) are received through the local parishes. Parents of children receiving First Holy Communion (usually second grade) should inquire at their parish regarding preparation requirements by the parish for students enrolled in a Catholic school. Typically sacramental instruction in the second grade year is sufficient for parishes; however, other requirements may be in place.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is available in the Diocese for students grade 7 through grade 12. Requirements and timing vary considerably from parish to parish. Please contact your parish or Catholic high school for the schedule and requirements to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
