Why Canyon Heights?
We know that selecting a school for your child is an enormous decision. At Canyon Heights Academy, we provide the highest quality education for your children in a loving, supportive, and safe environment. Here’s what sets us apart:
We cap each of our K-8 classrooms at 24 students so that we can provide the one-on-one attention that your child deserves. In preschool, our student to teacher ratio is 12:1, and in Early Montessori, it’s 6:1.
Every child is unique, and we honor that individuality by personally accompanying each student on his or her educational journey. Your child will not only be known by name, but also by his or her interests, strengths, and areas for growth.
We’ve been forming the future leaders of Silicon Valley since our school was founded in 2000. Our dedicated, experienced, and mission-driven teachers and staff members provide the very best first steps in academic, social, emotional, and spiritual formation.
We are passionate about educating the whole person, and we have an educational method that works. We are committed to providing a rigorous academic curriculum that will prepare your child for success in high school and beyond, but we also believe that your child has dignity and potential worth much more than his or her test scores will ever indicate. Using our model of Integral Formation, we teach our students, parents and alumni to live with conviction and pursue excellence in each of the following four dimensions: intellectual, human, spiritual, and apostolic.
We are a tight knit community of parents, students, and staff who strive to keep Jesus at the center of it all. From our Mentor Family program to volunteer opportunities to social events, Canyon Heights Academy is a home away from home where we build a vibrant, diverse community rooted in Christ.
We are proud of our Catholic identity and make sure to incorporate our spiritual formation directly into our curriculum. Outside of the classroom, students attend weekly mass and a yearly retreat with their grade level, spend time in prayer every day, and participate in hands-on activities in our Atrium to better understand their faith and learn to form a personal relationship with Christ. Parents, too, will benefit from our family formation days and frequent access to the sacraments!
We work hard to create a safe, loving, supportive, and healthy environment for our children, parents and staff. We have high standards for discipline and respect, and each of our faculty and staff members is committed to the protection of every child on campus.
